Can I choose whether to go to NPU-B versus the NBCA Land/Use Zoning Committee?

No.

As set out in the FAQ, North Buckhead is one of 13 north Atlanta neighbhohodds that make up NPU-B.  So your appliction must be heard in both places.

When you file with the city, your application is first sent to NPU-B.  The NPU-B Zoning Committee will send you an email directing you to contact Walda Lavroff  of the NBCA Land Use/Zoning Committee.

DO NOT IGNORE THIS EMAIL.  YOU SHOULD FOLLOW UP IMMEDIATELY IF YOU WANT TO STAY ON SCHEDULE.

When you contact Dr. Lavroff, be prepared to immediately send her a complete set of all documents pertaining to your application.  This includes all documents you filed with the city, including the referral certificate.  You will also be asked to arrange an onsite meeting with the NBCA Land Use/Zoning Committee.  Thereafter, you will appear at the next monthly meeting of the NBCA Land Use/Zoning Committee to present your application.

After you have been through the above steps, the NBCA Land Use/Zoning Committee will forward its report to NPU-B.

You will then be scheduled to appear at the NPU-B Zoning Committee.  But you must complete the above process with NBCA first.
